Vice President and Managing Director Hewlett-Packard South Pacific
Paul Brandling is Vice President and Managing Director, Hewlett-Packard South Pacific.
In this role since 2002, he has overall responsibility for HP's business in Australia and New Zealand. He also leads the Enterprise division, which delivers technology for better business outcomes encompassing enterprise and technology services, servers, storage, networking and software.
During Brandling's 17 years with HP he has held a number of sales and divisional leadership roles across the entire business. His experience includes major merger and integration leadership and driving organisational change.
Prior to his appointment he was Vice President and Managing Director, Compaq Computer South Pacific where he drove growth and market development across the region.
Before HP, Brandling worked with Wang for seven years, where he held a number of sales and management positions. During his career he has been based in both Australia and Europe.
Brandling holds a BSc Hons. (Mechanical Engineering) from Aston University in England.
He is a member of the International CEO Forum (Australia) and a Director of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA).

As a working journalist Brad spent the mid to late 1990s reporting on the rapid growth of Australia's IT industry as it rode the dotcom bubble. In 1999, at the age of just 26, he joined the editorial team at BRW as Information Technology Editor and subsequently moved into the role of Marketing Editor. While at BRW, Brad authored his first book, Innovation and Emerging Markets (2004), a study of the process of commercialisation for innovative Australian high-tech companies.
During his career he has interviewed many of the world's leading thinkers on technology, digital media, innovation and entrepreneurship, including Seth Godin, Vint Cerf and Michael Dell. While much of his career has focused on the intersection of technology and business, he has taken a strong interest in innovation, entrepreneurship, marketing and advertising, and global affairs, and has written extensively on these topics.
IT Management Evangelist, Software, HP Enterprise Business, Hewlett-Packard Company
Paul Muller leads the global IT management evangelist team within the Software business at HP. In this role, Muller heads the team responsible for fostering HP's participation in the IT management community, contributing to and communicating best-practice in helping IT perform better.
Prior to this appointment, Muller was the global vice president of strategic marketing for HP Software. In this position, Muller was responsible for leading the development and execution of HP's IT management portfolio go-to-market strategy.
An IT industry veteran spanning 20 in enterprise IT, Muller joined HP's Professional Services Organization in 1998 eventually going on to successfully lead sales and marketing across Australasia and Asia Pacific regions through the acquisition of Peregrine Systems, Mercury Interactive and Opsware.
Prior to joining HP, Muller developed his Unix and systems management consulting practice working with leading private and public enterprises across Australia.
