Public trust is one of the most valuable assets an organisation can earn. In fact, large, complex projects can only succeed if they’re backed by an organisation that has earned public trust.
The IT industry must set the bar high when it comes to these issues, because doing this will help our clients to succeed — especially with large, complex, public sector projects.
To discuss these issues, HP Australia hosted a series of government briefings in 2007 entitled: “Trust in a digital world / Enhancing privacy and security in the use of technology”. The briefings were based on Trustguide, a seminal research report into how organisations can earn public trust. The research was co-authored by HP Labs.
This website complements the briefings by providing an online replay, so anyone can access the information that was provided.
This site also showcases a number of HP blogs, so anyone can discuss the issues that were raised in the briefing with HP experts from within Australia and around the world.
Finally, HP recognises that specialists will need further technical detail about how to enact privacy and security policies in their own technical environment.
For that reason, this site outlines HP’s own policies and services, shows what they can mean to customers through a number of case studies, and provides additional reports in areas like security. |
